So after that double birthday - double cupcake action, we headed out to Soergels for pie. I'm starting to paint a bad picture here so I should clarify that we went to Soergels the following weekend, and it wasn't for pie, it was for pumpkins. That we came home with one pumpkin and three pies is immaterial, not to mention none of your business.

Eating is a big part of each and every day. Mostly, it's going pretty well. If I had my way, I'd eat O's all day, but apparently that's not a balanced diet. I really dig avacado's, and prunes have grown on me quit a bit. I've also taken a shine to yogurt. My folks make most of my food. I like it when Dad spends a lot of time grinding up plums or pears and then I dump it onto the floor. Scrambled egg yolks are funny little things to eat, but I'm warming up to those too. Noodles - ahhh, noodles. This is food? Really?
I have to admit though that I'm a bit particular, and sometimes make quite a little scene. Makes for good entertainment...
This weekend was Mama's birthday. More on that later. For now I just wanted to show you this awesome gift she got. Dad found this online company that makes dolls from photos that look like real people, and they made one of me! So cool. Isn't it really lifelike?! I mean, really lifelike. Am I creeping you out? You don't know what to believe, do you? Mmwwwa ha ha... I'm psyched for Halloween.
Alright, alright, I know I'm behind schedule. So for those of you with complaints about my information flow, please write down your concerns on a blank #2 diaper and send it to me. I'll make sure it gets thoroughly, uh, reviewed.
Because the weather has taken what appears to be an irrevocable turn for the worse, I'll take this opportunity to provide a few highlights from when we wound down our summer.
Dad took me for one last hike through Schenley Park.
And then we made another trip to Phipps Conservatory. Summer never really ends here so we'll probably be spending a lot of time here over the winter.
Then my folks took me to Moraine State Park for lunch by the lake and a four-mile stroll down the bike path.
And there you have it. Oh, wait, I almost forgot to tell you about the penguins. Eh, it's late - I'll get around to it soon...
Hmmm. Where does the time go? Due to my busy travel schedule, nearly a tenth of my life has passed since I last found a moment to update my family, friends and fanatic followers as to my whereabouts. While this may not do the month of August justice, here's the basic storyline. Or you can save yourself some time and skip the banter and jump straight to the photo section, and more or less figure it out yourselves.
For starters, I started crawling! At first it looked a little something like this. I'm very sure-handed, as you can see...
Mom had to go to Harrisburg for work, and Dad and I discovered the Whitaker Center - a cool science center for kids. I soaked myself in this nifty little water feature where you're right in action, and was not happy at all when Dad tried to put me under the hand dryer. It's a hand dryer, Dad, not a baby dryer.
Dad and I walked across the bridge to an island and we lounged around, did a little crawling in the cool grass...
And to top it all off, I got to hang with Charlotte. I credit her on teaching me how to sit. She's really good at it.
I enjoyed the beach and didn't mind the scorching sun too much. Those grains of sand are so small. It's really hard to pick up just one, yet I tried, and tried, and tried. The best part, hands down, was cruising about the bay in my inflatable gondola. Rumor has it that next year we're going to Mexico. Muy Bueno!
